Worst $1 I've ever spent. Acting and Script is unbearable
1. Dads voice Almost made me quit watching 2. No one had real tears. 3. Grandma got shot in head and no blood 4. Cops were terrible actors 5. The writer and director of this needs to be locked away

As much as I appreciate this was a true event.......Yawn...zzzzzzzzz. That's it folks!
Terrible, amateur performances. Supposedly filmed in Utah but looked more like the Chilterns in December. Wounds of victims too small for close-up kill. It was so awful that I only continued watching it to see if Tiffany Celi got banged.
Well, let me start out by saying, the true events this movie is based on happened here in my state. And the people were from the same city as me. I also remember how big of a news story this was when I was a kid.
So I thought this would be an interesting movie. And it could have been. EXCEPT:
First the pacing of this movie is absolutely dismal! It feels like an effort in film slow motion. And it is abysmally painful at times to sit through.
The acting is third rate. Yeah, it is that bad. I have worked on multiple films myself (My State has a fairly active film industry) and even our productions have 1st class acting compared to this!
Also, this was not shot in Utah and I can tell you, the terrain looks NOTHING like Utah! As friendly of a environment as Itah is supposed to be to productions and the fact this film shows a $1 million dollar budget, I don't know what the hell that money was spent on! As a film maker myself, I can tell you, if I had had $1 million dollars to make this film, it would have been worlds better in quality than this production!
As the other review says, don't waste your time. This story had the potential to be a very interesting story. But this is as bland as Utah jello!

Just another example of people using close friends and family for actors to make a film with a video camera.
It is horrible from the first second in to the rolling credits out.
It's almost as if people haven't watched any truly excellent films at all, then think - hey I can buy/rent/borrow this camera and make something ...well no you can't.
Granted you don't need films school to make a blockbuster. But you do need to have a handle on the nuts and bolts of cinematography, filters, editing, actors, scene-setting, lighting and on and on and on....Oh and don't forget the script you need a solid script.
This true story is there for eveyone to work with - but this film fell so flat it is like a sheet of Saran Wrap. Skip this movie, and you are welcome for the warning.

- ट्रिवियाThe real life crime the film is based on is the 1990 home invasion by Von Taylor and Edward Deli of a remote family cabin in Oakley, Utah, belonging to the Tiede family. The two men murdered Beth Potts and Kaye Tiede and also shot Kaye's husband, Rolf, and left him for dead. They then took two hostages: 20-year-old Linae Tiede and her 16-year-old sister Tricia before being apprehended by police. Both were parolees who walked away from a halfway house. They stood together in court as a multitude of charges were read, but then their cases went their separate ways through the justice system. There were different lawyers, different juries, different procedures. Von Taylor ended up being sentenced to death, Edward Deli got life in prison. In 2020, Taylor's death sentence was vacated, but was reinstated in 2021.
- गूफ़The plug sockets shown in the cabin are UK standard, this is due to these scenes being filmed in Wales.
