Tig Notaro: Happy to Be Here

I found this special when it came out, about six years ago now. I was dealing with some pretty bad depression at the time and it was one of the few things that helped me laugh. I watched it over and over again, and somehow it stayed funny to me despite my growing familiarity to it-except for the ending. That's stayed weird. I'm writing this now because I just watched it again after a hard day and it still makes me crack up. I love her dry humor and delivery. After all this time, it's a comfort show, I hope Netflix never takes it down. It's probably not for everybody, but I love it. Tig, you have made me a loyal fan!

It is not that funny.... there is no edge - this might be funny for people whom enjoys watching cute cats videos on youtube

If you torture yurself by watching this, take note that they never show the audiece face on becuase no doubt, they are not laughing. I didn't laugh ONCE. The fake laugh tracks were so obvious and poorly done. You could hear them being cut off abruptly. I literally am falbbergasted that people find her funny. It was BORING.

I usually enjoy her stand-up, but this one missed the mark. The timing seemed off and only funny here and there. The ending was waaay too drawn out. I'm still a fan and will watch her in the future, but this one just didn't hit her usual level.

Never understood the hype around her. Had to watch the whole special with laugh tracks.
