Bon Iver has returned, as the beloved Justin Vernon-fronted indie rock group released Sable, fABLE, their first album in over six years, on Friday through Jagjaguwar.

The band announced Sable, fABLE back in February, preceding the new record with the singles “Everything is Peaceful Love,” “If Only I Could Wait” and Walk Home.”

Sable fABLE follows 2019’s I, I, which earned Grammy nominations for album of the year and best alternative music album. The album’s lead single “Hey, Ma” was nominated for record of the year. The band’s hardly been dormant since I, I, with Bon Iver featured on th hit single “Exile” on Taylor Swift’s Folklore back in 2020. The Handmaid’s Tale has always been one of those shows that forces you to think about where we are heading, and in my book, if a TV show can do that as well as entertain you, it is one of the best series ever made, and that’s why it was extremely hard for me to accept that The Handmaid’s Tale is ending.

Many speculate that D&d adventure modules would be the best starting point for a TV adaptation, as the hundreds of published modules are all packed with exciting events. Yet there's a difference between exciting events and a compelling story – a distinction many aspiring D&d dungeon masters need to understand – so it may be better to look to the multitude of D&d novels for inspiration instead.
