Ayushmann Khurrana, who plays the piano player, trained for two months under Akshay Verma, a pianist based in Los Angeles.

During an interview when Ayushmann Khurrana was asked on why he and his team have not promoted the film much, he said "I think this film's genre is such that you can't talk much about it. It's a suspense thriller and everyone is asking me whether I am really a blind man in the film or not. It was our strategy to not promote this film as a regular one. I think this film will run on word of mouth and people will realise what the film is when they watch it."

Khurana was given a special pair of lenses from London which, he said, impaired his vision "almost 80 percent."

Doctor Swami refers to Tabu as Lady Macbeth in a scene. This is an in-joke as Tabu played the role of Lady Macbeth in the Indian retelling of Macbeth, Maqbool (2003).

Raghavan cited Fargo (the series and the film) as an inspiration, calling them "realistic and yet ... bizarre".
