The game ( Tic Tac Toe in the USA ) alludes to Matthew Broderick's hit 80s "War Games" when the computer simulating a nuclear war arrives at the conclusion that in a nuclear war scenario there are no winners. An imminent nuclear holocaust is avoided when all the Computer's resources are diverted in engaging in the "Noughts and Crosses" game . Learning strategies , it soon learns the "trick" we all learn at some stage , that can withhold victory by each player. In the Show " Noughts and Crosses" - Whites are " Noughts" - nothing / valueless - void of rights and privilege enjoyed by the " Crosses" the dominant class - Blacks. That's what I got from eps.1 - There ìs still more to discover. Timely, tables- turned , " Planets of the Apes" like - the late 1960 Hollywood nod to the Civil Rights movement in America.
