This was absolutely a magnificent movie. It was a tribute to a dog that will remind you of just how much space your own pet takes up in your heart. Mark did a spectacular job weaving together the story of Abby and their remarkable road trip adventure. It's incredible that he was able to do this as sort of a one-mand band. Abby's facial expressions, Mark's humor, the unexpected guests and twists along the way stole our hearts. If you love road-tripping, you love animals and you love watching a movie where in the end you are forever changed (for the better) you will marvel at Abby's List. There is not a pet in the world who won't be treated like royalty at the end of their lives after watching this movie. Bravo!!!
As a dog lover, I can't say I expected to be semi bored by a dogumentary but there were parts of this that really dragged. It's a cool story and he was able to give some unique experiences to his best friend and pup, but overall not as exciting, moving or meaningful enough for me to recommend to others. Kudos to the guy for raising money to have a trip he will never forget with his dog and for being a first time documentarian, but just nothing special. Maybe I just had too high of expectations after watching the trailer, but alas.
If you are a huge dog lover, you may still enjoy, but keep expectations in check.

Abby's List is a heartfelt, deeply moving film that reminds us just how much our dogs mean to us-and how profoundly they shape our lives. In this tender "dogumentary," Mark sets out on a cross-country road trip with his aging dog, Abby, as they check off the ultimate canine bucket list. But this film is about so much more than playful adventures and picture-perfect moments. It's a raw and beautiful journey about love, loss, and the courage to fully embrace each day, even when you know time is short.
As Mark and Abby travel together, the film becomes a tribute not just to the bond between a man and his dog, but to the universal experience of facing goodbye with grace. Their connection-built over more than a decade-is visible in every glance, every shared sunrise, every tail wag. And through it all, they remind us that while we can't stop time, we can choose how we spend it.
Abby's List draws you in from the first frame and doesn't let go. It inspires you to live fully, love deeply, and to cherish every day with those who matter most-whether they have two legs or four. Abby will tug at your heart, and her story will stay with you long after the credits roll.

As a classmate of Mark's in high school, I've been eagerly awaiting this film. As a pet owner in the past, I know how hard those last days can be. The fact that three weeks became three years is beyond special. The authenticity, rawness, love, stories and sadness are all magical... and you just can't miss Abby pee-ing on the world's largest tree!!
What starts as a series of almost home movies blossoms into an increasingly intimate story. Having grown up in Columbus, it is great to see Jack Hanna woven into the story. At the end of the day, this movie isn't based on a true story. It is a true story. A story seen through not only Mark's eyes but his dog, Abby's, too.

Absolutely delightful film! There were so many funny, adorable, and touching moments - we saw it first in the theatre, and I look forward to streaming it again (and again!). If you've ever loved a dog, this "dogumentary" is a can't-miss, must-see.
You will fall in love with Abby the whippet, Mark her owner, and the great guest stars! Each segment was more fun than the last, and some were very moving. You get the general idea quickly, but it's not at all predictable!
The story telling and production values far exceeded my expectations for an indie; it's easy to see why it's won so many awards! Make the time to watch this one and tell your animal-loving friends... They'll be glad you did!
