We knew who dunnit in the first 7 minutes. What a shame. I wanted to like this so much, but it just wasn't up to par.

Yikes. I was sure it was. It was SO slow moving. I fell asleep at least once during the movie (which is unusual for me).

This is subpar for a Hallmark mystery movie. If you are looking for this type of movie, I would recommend the Aurora Teagarden, Garage Sale Mysteries, or the Murder She Baked series well before this one.

Are some IMDB users required to have longer reviews than other users? I only ask as the featured review (and many others) are less than 3 lines long and were accepted. Whereas mine is several times longer than that and it STILL says I need another 87 characters. Now THAT is a REAL mystery.

I'm judging this against the other murder mysteries on Hallmark. The actors are likable to keep me watching but the storylines are lacking and predictable. I love that Hallmark has a series with Black actors but they deserve better. Please keep the series but find better script writers, please.

I think given the upheaval in today's world, more and more people are turning to Hallmark Channel! I'm not kidding - I've heard a lot of people mention it lately.

Hallmark has a group of series in the Mystery genre, and this is a new one, the Morning Show mysteries, starring Holly Robinson Peete and the always-hunky Rick Fox.

Peete plays Billie Blessings, a successful cookbook author and restaurant owner who has a special segment on the Morning Show. In this episode, one of the executives at the network is poisoned by a cake -- and suspicion falls on Billie. Rather than wait around to be cleared, Billie starts her own investigation.

Benign, pleasant, familiar, all describe these mysteries. No sex, foul language, violence, or unhappy endings. The people are attractive and often include popular tv/Hallmark/soap stars like Allison Sweeney, Cameron Matthison, Kellie Martin, Brooke Shields, Lori Loughlin, etc. For many, this is just what the doctor ordered. Personally I'll watch anything with the word Mystery in it, so there you go.

I liked the characters and the plots are good. IMO Holly Peete makes the show but she's not the only good character and her chemistry with Fox has a subtle quality. I know one person had it figured out early but we didn't. If you like entertaining mysteries it's worth watching.

I have been a Hallmark movie fan for many years. I did not find this predictable at all. The acting was decent and definitely on par with all the other Hallmark movies. I am glad to see Hallmark adding more diversity to their movie lineup. Can't wait to watch more episodes in this series!

Billie Blessings has gone from beloved chef, restaurant owner, and morning show segment host to the prime suspect in a murder case when one of the executives at the network dies from poisoning. When the head chef at Billie's restaurant is arrested and held as a suspect, Billie takes matters into her own hands by digging deeper into a mystery that could incriminate people close to her while risking her own life in the process

There's some great chemistry with the leads, the mystery is quite interesting, but it's convoluted at times with so many name dropping of suspects and it tends to drag, but it's adequately entertaining enough.

Holly Robinson Pete is not a very good actress so it's hard to pay attention to the storyline. Pretty mediocre.

First, I love the cast of characters. Honestly, this is the better of the two in the mystery series. All things being fair it's more than worth a watch. I would like to see more of this series. I think it is on par with all the other mystery series you find on the Hallmark Mystery Movie Network.

I was disappointed with the horrible acting. It did not appear natural. Especially that episode where she was taking to the dog.

This series follows Hallmark's cozy mystery formula, but there are some nice adjustments that make it have a little more realism:

1. Successful, glamorous woman ... but in this series, Billie Blessing's money is explained by her family owning a successful restaurant in addition to her own career (lots of work vs. Luck or just being downright unbelievably wealthy) 2. Slow-burn romance with a detective ... but Ian Jackson is an old acquaintance of Billie (her late policeman father's younger partner) 3. Involved, present maternal figure ... but instead of being overbearing, outrageous, or annoying, Aunt Cassandra is caring and funny and someone Billie can turn to for support.

I really appreciate these changes. Holly Robinson Peete brings a poise to her role that makes me think of a young Jessica Fletcher. Ian Fox does a good job of portraying an old, forbidden attraction kept in check. And Jesse Moss is always a wild card in anything he does, so it was a good choice to cast him in this because his presence added an element of suspicion for those familiar with his work.

I'd rank this above Mystery 101 and the Flower Shop and Matchmaker Mysteries, about even with the Aurora Teagarden and Crossword mysteries, but below the Chronicle mysteries.

I love the Hallmark Murder Mystery Movies, but this is my least favorite series. Holly Robinson is not a good actress in this, she is kind of blah. Actually the whole cast is blah except the ones that stared in Murder, She Baked or the others. It needs new life.

I absolutely loved this movie and can't wait to watch the rest of them on Hallmark Movie Channel! It was so well acted and good quality writing. Kept me guessing to the end. Loved the twist and who the murderer was.

I will never watch anything that Al Roker Produces Writes Stars in

Hallmark should be more selected in their shows!

The show is great. It has really good plots, keeps me returning to see the awesome cast; Holly Robinson is superb and her radiance shines through. I love her! Thanks to Hallmark I get to enjoy these Morning Show mysteries. I'll keep coming back for more!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

It's nice to see some diversity being represented in a Hallmark murder mystery series, and while this wanders a bit, I enjoyed this first instalment.

I look further to others.

How many "mystery" movie series are you going to make that follows the same plot lines? JUST STOP for crying out loud!!! I have been a fan of movies & mysteries channel for a long time, but continuing to do these same style movies is pushing us away!!! Change things up!! You had a good series going with Jewel & Colin but quit doing it!! No more of these & no more Fox as one of your actors!!!
