Üç Harfliler: Beddua

People who really want to encounter some scary violent scenes, would like this movie. Also the director hasn't depicted it straight rather there is twist & mystery.

The reason I watched this movie was because of the misleading review of 8.5. The storyline was draggy, there was no climax, no actual plot, just full of "out-of-body" experiences with predictable jumpscares.

Üç Harfliler: Beddua presents a chilling exploration of the supernatural, filled with suspense, dread, and eerie encounters that keep the audience on edge. With a rating of 7/10, it strikes a good balance between horror and drama. The film revolves around a family that becomes the target of a vengeful jinn after a deeply rooted curse is invoked, leading to a spiral of terrifying events. The atmosphere is thick with tension, and the haunting imagery is effective in evoking fear.

The performances are solid, with the cast skillfully portraying characters under psychological and supernatural torment. The cinematography, too, contributes to the eerie tone, as shadows and dim lighting are used effectively to heighten the sense of dread. However, while Beddua delivers a satisfying sense of suspense, its reliance on familiar horror tropes and a somewhat predictable narrative keep it from fully standing out as a modern horror classic.

1. The twist - Told in a third-person POV, the story is unravelled effectively to deliver the twist at the end of the film.

Cons 1. The characters - Having all-female casts as the main characters feels like a typical stereotype to justify the theme of the story.

2. The pace - Clocking 90 minutes, the simple plot feels so stretched in order to make sense of everything.

3. The scare - They are commonly used in many other horror movies and are very familiar.
