The Underthinker

What happened? Demitri's standup used to be sweet, clever and relatively clean. This is sweary, lazy, undeveloped and embarrassing. Literally admitting onstage that you have no ending to a joke... come on. So disappointed.

I was laughing pretty much the whole time, what more can you ask for? :)

Great jokes

Good funny jokes and defiantly worthy of the time but the last comedian doing that type of show was Rodney Dangerfield. Now a great stand up routine needs a little more cohesion.

Very unique

His jokes aren't related to one another, but they're all based on fun, quirky and unique ideas that no other comedian has done.

And that's super unique, because every new special I watch I can pinpoint at least 3 stolen jokes and tens of generic political rants that have been done for decades.

So if you want something fresh and light on mediocrity and political garbage - watch Demetri.

The one comedian who doesn't rely on sex jokes

Demitri Martin is a talented comedian, no argue about that. His strong side is making intelligent observations about life, Wich doesn't always have a big response on people. I mean, I did laugh several times during The Overthinker, but most of my appreciation comes by the good points he makes. As I said on the title, he doesn't make sex jokes, and I appreciate that, cause his jokes are mostly family friendly, and that's very rare on comedians...
