Right, well truth be told, then I wasn't really harboring much of any expectations to this 2021 horror movie from writers David Gere and Eric Weinstock as I sat down to watch it. Sure, I hadn't even heard about the movie before. But it being a horror movie was essentially all that was needed for me to sit down and watch it.
And yeah, I can't really claim that having Michael Madsen as the headlining name on the cover was doing much to entice interesting in the movie. But still, I hadn't already seen the movie, so of course I found the time to do so.
But as I had initially expected then "Burial Ground Massacre" was a bad movie. The storyline, as written by David Gere and Eric Weinstock was just insanely mundane and mediocre. There wasn't much being offered in the storyline that proved interesting or entertaining. So sitting through "Burial Ground Massacre" was a brutal ordeal.
The acting in the movie was just downright staggering bad. The acting and the delivery of the dialogue was so wooden and rigid that it was almost uncomfortable to look at and listen to. Now, I was only familiar with Michael Madsen, and that guy only added the voice to the movie. So you're not in for an evening of fine thespian acting performances when you sit down to watch "Burial Ground Massacre".
And as for "Burial Ground Massacre" being a horror movie. Well, sure, if you have never before sat down to watch a horror movie, then I suppose there is something gruesome or scary to be seen in "Burial Ground Massacre". But if you, like me, have seen more than your share of horror movies, then "Burial Ground Massacre" was just a dud - a swing and a miss.
Don't waste your time on nonsense like "Burial Ground Massacre", it just simply isn't worth the time, money or effort.
My rating of directors Daniel Dahlstrom and David Gere's 2021 "Burial Ground Massacre" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.

I don't know how I stumbled upon this pile of garbage. What a waste of Michael Madsen. I can't believe he agreed to do this turd. Sad for him. I've never seen a movie with two directors and you still can't get it right? Just absolute trash script, acting all around and cinematography. I hope the two "directors" didn't go to school for this because what a waste of money that degree would have been. Yikes. 0/10.

WHO GOES TO A GET TOGETHER AT SOMEONES HOME AND
TAKES A BATH, WHILE THEY ARE SUPOSED TO BE SCARED FOR THIER LIVES.
Probably the most terrible display of acting I've ever seen. Don't waste your time on this one.

Wow....wow...I watched it all...in disbelief...I seriously thought at some stage it would make sense...who is the ginger hair girl at the beginning of the movie? Why was she made naked then tight to a tree, shot with an arrow and seen again only at the end of the movie, somewhere else, next to another naked girls, whose part was tilting the head on one side and die? More than a horror movie is a soft porn...Confusing...I guess the Directors thought that an "horror" movie is something horrifying to watch!
Lame actor Michael Madsen actually made a good movie?

First off, this movie isn't great. It's an Indy B-movie slasher about a group of college kids who party at the Larson Estate - finding out towards the end of the first act - that the mansion is built on an Indian burial ground.
Spooky stuff right? Eh, not really. The acting is passable, the story is straightforward, and I enjoyed myself. There is a sequel called "Damon's Revenge" and I will most likely watch that one, too.
Would I recommend this? If you like plenty of boobs and blood, sure. I watched it for the boobs, blood, and Madsen. It's free on Amazon Prime.

This movie is just a joke. I don't even know where these positive reviews came!!! You are going to waste your time watching this piece of non sense movie.
Not a single redeeming aspect in any department in this movie. Even worse is I know one of the producers who bought the fake high numbered ratings. These people need less yes men and more people in their circle to give honest feedback so one day they might improve. I'd suggest you save the hour and a half of your life and watch a different "horror" movie.
I honestly believe this might be the worst movie of all time. This movie is so horrendously awful that I was compelled to write my first ever review on this site. I watched the entire thing because I was so fascinated by how a film this dreadful was ever created. Everything is bad and I wouldn't even recommend watching it as a joke. I'm still in utter bewilderment over its lack of quality in every sense. Shocking.
Seriously, the only reason this ranks 5.3 as of this rating is cast/crew reviews. Only reason it isn't getting a 1 from me is it's not shot with a personal vidcam. Acting is lame, story lame. And I love found footage and b movies.

Clearly everyone involved is yet to find their calling, as it's definitely not in filmmaking. There's no shame in going back to college to learn a trade, work in a coffee shop, or telesales. Be a criminal for all I care, just stay away from movies.

That's really all you need to know about this disaster.
The writer/director/actor didn't know the word is "relegated." This was the most poorly acted piece of junk I've seen in a long, long time. How it ever got made is amazing to me. And how they ever made a sequel is doubly amazing.
Get 15 minutes in and then call it quits if you don't believe me.
You'll be as astounded as I was at the amateurish acting, story, and dialog.
Strangely enough, it was pretty well-directed for the stupid finished product.

I really wasn't expecting much at first, thinking it would be a low budget and bad movie because of the reviews. Although, after watching it I have to say it was great! It was riveting and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Great acting, especially Michael Madsen! I also thought the script was extremely good, so creds to Eric Weinstock!

I was not expecting that ending. I was glued to the screen right to the end. I'm impressed as to how good this is being that it's a low budget film.

Horrible production.....if this is what horror is in 2021......this is disgraceful. Too bad the movie quality mocks Michael Madsen, a great actor. He deserves so much better.....like in another gangster/mafia movie. I should have known this movie was going to be a letdown, by the name and reviews.....which up until now, I never paid attention to. Waste of time, this.

Couldn't last more then 15 mins, it was soo bad. Just the intro was awfull
The production values tho better then movies in the handycam vane, weren't that much better.
The acting was awfull, the opening chat between Chelsea and i guess was her mother was cringe worthy. The "mother" was clearly reading a script and very badly, it was jerky, monotone and she wasn't even looking at the person she was meant to be talking too.
Only lasted a few mins longer before had to turn it off.
It might have gotten considerably better after that but i wanted my life back. Saying that we went onto watch something else that wasn't much better.

Burial Ground Massacre (2021) is another movie recently added to Shudder. The storyline follows a group staying at an old manor. Little do they know the manor was originally owned by someone who stole their land from Indians and have a cursed Native American artifact inside. When someone, or something, comes back for the artifact the group's lives may be at risk.
This movie is codirected by Daniel Dahlstrom (Pinwheel) and David Gere (Damon's Revenge) and stars Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dog), Chelsea Vale (Damon's Revenge), Vinny Marseglia (Vault), Chris Whitcomb (Damon's Revenge) and Travis Gordon (All In).
This isn't a good movie. The writing and acting are terrible. The horror elements are also mediocre and there wasn't enough focus on the kill sequences. There's only two good things in this, Madsen's voice doing the narrating and the topless girls at the end.
Overall this isn't a worthwhile addition to the horror genre. I would score this a 2/10 and recommend skipping it.

Title: Burial Ground Massacre: A Disappointing Descent into Horror Tropes
Rating: 3/10 Stars
"Burial Ground Massacre" ventures into familiar horror territory but fails to rise above clichés. The plot follows a group stumbling upon an ancient burial ground, awakening a vengeful force.
Despite a potentially intriguing premise, the film's reliance on gratuitous nudity feels misplaced. It distracts from any narrative depth, instead appearing as a superficial attempt to compensate for lacking substance.
Acting performances range from mediocre to cringe-worthy, with Michael Madison's portrayal of Damon, the Native American antagonist, particularly problematic. Casting a non-Native actor in this role perpetuates harmful stereotypes.
Technical aspects further hinder the viewing experience. The cinematography lacks finesse, hindering attempts at evoking fear or suspense.
While the film attempts moments of tension, they are overshadowed by its inability to deliver a coherent narrative.
In conclusion, "Burial Ground Massacre" falls short, unable to transcend clichés. Its reliance on gratuitous nudity, coupled with subpar performances and technical flaws, make it a forgettable addition to the genre. Viewer discretion is advised for those seeking a more substantial horror experience.
