After Trek

To even produce a show for a series which obviously isnt working at all explains everything.

The idea itself was braindead and this is highlighted even more as the series continues.

It is difficult to like a show that invites the public to ask questions and then proceeds to vet every question so criticism of the writing, plot holes or inconsistency with Star Trek canon, conveniently never get raised.

Marketing fluff.

Not what I expected too be honest. I, like others have said, found myself fast forwarding the table chat, (as I'm watching via Netflix) to the various behind the scenes, the making of, Interviews with the cast members etc, which is far more interesting. I find Matt Mira somewhat over bearing. The vibe is just all wrong for me. No disrespect to Matt but maybe try another host or change it up, it's just not doing it for me, nor is Matt's humour....all so cheesy. Cool desk though!

Okay, so first of all: sorry for my bad english. I just want to say i liked Startrek discovery very much! And i liked watching the After Trek Show after every Episode! I really enjoyed the get somekind closer with the actors ant the whole team. I had had a break in watching TV and so I just started today 22. of march 2019 watching the second Season. And yes i would have liked to see After Trek going on.

I can only assume that the other reviewers are not used to the concept of behind the scenes shows. Many shows do this in the UK (e.g. Bake Off Extra Slice, Big Brother's Little Brother and Strictly Extra.) and the format is usually much more twee and ridiculous.

I find it extremely interesting to hear the concepts behind production, the actors views on playing the various scenes, the discussions with the writers etc.

Of course the actors are going to big up the show and praise each other - they're proud of what they've made! It's no different from a panel at a Star Trek convention. Matt is also a trekkie through and through which is why he's so into the show and gives it so much praise.
