The Quiet Room

A fun little short film set in a psych ward, following Michael who winds up there after attempting suicide. There is an urban legend that a demon haunts the "Quiet Room" of the ward... For such a short film, I was actually invested in the characters and their storylines. The acting was really good and I hope that this get fleshed out into a feature film, but it was still great for what it was. The visuals were quite good and it had some very creepy elements.

What did I just watch? 28 min of my life I'll never get back. Weak story, weak plot, everything was so dull and made no sense. A five year old with an iPhone could have made a better short movie than this weak excuse of film. Sorry. - I only gave it a chance for the half min Katya was in it, other than that, it was boring and made no sense at all.

I liked almost everything about this. The writing. The acting. The direction. The sometimes claustrophobic and sometimes a little bit open sets.

The MC is incredibly likable. Charming, wounded, real. I cared what happened to him, The other characters are enough but not too much. Their interaction is very good. The monster was cool. The writer introduced a "Chekhov's gun" in the first act and "used it" in the third.

Overall great stuff, except for the last 20 seconds. I'd watch more from this group--writer, director, actors. Major talent here!
