When attempting to put a saddle on Raven, he has a bridle on with a bit in his mouth. This specific type of bit, called a Pelham, contains two rings, meant for having two pairs of reins- one snaffle rein (to go on the top ring) and a curb rein to go on the bottom. Raven has one pair of reins, connected to the curb ring of the bit. This is an incorrect usage of the bit, as the curb rein is to be used minimally along with the snaffle rein. The horse would receive constant, harsh pressure with only a rein on the curb ring.

While the photographer is taking Mia and Raven's photo he says that the lighting is perfect, but the sun is behind Mia and bright which would be bad lighting, because it would mean her face would be in shadow.
