For a low budget movie it's really not that bad. But I think people miss the point of the movie. I see it as a family movie, more educating than anything else. Shows the positive outcomes after tragedy.
The Christian elements are good. People that don't like it obviously are none believers.
However it's light entertainment. What the movie lacked was a strong opening!
The acting isn't bad as some make out. But half the cast are rappers more than actors. Robin Givens was great. She deserves bigger projects!
It's not a 10 out of 10! But it's not a 1 out of 10 neither

Never Heard" (2018) took me by surprise. As an independent Christian film, I wasn't expecting the level of acting I saw. Robin Givens delivers a compelling performance as Shala Davis - I honestly didn't even recognize her until I looked up the cast! Dorien Wilson is also solid as Montey.
The film follows several threads that ultimately converge: the story of Aaron, wrongly imprisoned for a robbery and the death of a child; the drug dealer seeking revenge for that child's death (and, I must admit, played by a very handsome actor whose name I didn't catch!); Aaron's redemption; and his son, played by Romeo Miller, and Aaron's best friend, Diggy, who are both battling the temptations of street life. Diggy's situation is particularly poignant, as he struggles with a mother battling drug addiction. We also see a sweet, developing romance between Aaron and Montey's daughter, which adds another layer to the narrative.
As expected within the Christian genre, there are several interludes featuring preaching and gospel music, which felt appropriate to the overall tone. However, like many Christian films, the resolution felt a bit too convenient. Aaron's acceptance of legal help and immediate cooperation, along with his seemingly trauma-free transition after years of incarceration, felt somewhat unrealistic. While the film does include a tragic event, the overall ending is perhaps a little too neatly tied up.
One scene that resonated with me was the image of prisoners in orange jumpsuits walking in line, carrying Bibles. It's a powerful reminder of the significant role spirituality plays in the lives of many inmates and its potential for transformation.
Despite its somewhat predictable conclusion, "Never Heard" is a well-acted and engaging film with a message of hope and redemption. It's worth a watch, especially if you appreciate Christian dramas with strong performances.

I thought this film was truly amazing. It's a tear jerker for sure! It checks all the boxes in my book with strong themes about redemption, faith, and forgiveness. The casting was on point, and the performances were sincere. I'm giving this movie a 10/10 and can't wait to see more from Josh Webber. You have to make love to your movies and I believe this cast and crew did that!

I was so encouraged watching this film. We need more movies like this - I figured because the rating wasn't very high but the reviews were high - I figured the people who rated this movie low was probably antiChrist/antiGod, so I decided to watch it and I am so glad I did! The acting was great, the story was REAL and it wasn't cheesy, like some Christian movies can be, lol. I really enjoyed this film and I like the positive messages/theme. I highly recommend this movie!

We just happened upon this movies. Zero publicity/marketing. We didn't even know it was showing in the theater because it wasn't even listed at the theatre. One showing for one day in Harrisburg, PA. Yet I see 10000 commercials for garbage movies full of evil, murder, blood, guts, torture and on and on... Our world is upside down. We need more movies with real messages.

There should be more movies like "Never Heard" available to the public. In a day and age where so much of what we see has some alternative agenda, it's great to see a pure and faith based family film that hits home. The film "Never Heard",is based on real life and overcoming obstacles with the help of the lord, that many of us are faced with at one time or another during our lives. There is LOVE, second chances, turmoil and faith based applications that lead to a better life, it's all part of God's plan. See the talents of director Josh Webber, as he eloquently tells this powerful story with some guidance from above.

Moving film about love, loss and life ! This faith based film will have you feeling beautiful vibes.
Not bad. Much much better than I expected! I don't know that I've seen David Banner act. He's was surprisingly good. And good looking! Quality looking film. Good storyline. A great story of forgiveness, love, finding God, friendship, redemption and discovering your lost faith. There's nothing like a praying mom or a praying grandmother! There were some good words preached in this movie! And my eyes watered a time or two (but nothing fell). I love how it shows positive black men and growth of black men in their chosen faiths. The biggest message above all in this movie. The power of prayer. Praying to God serves the devil notice that his time and game is up. I enjoyed that. I think, if you liked War Room, you'll love this.

The story is suspenseful till the end, in this message of how important it is for men to be involved in their children's lives. The pace moves along very well. The acting is spot on and believable as you see characters transform into the positive Influences they strive to be. Though tragedy is inevitable, redemption is possible!

This movie was not what I expected, but in a good way! I've been binge watching Netflix for awhile and bypassed this movie several times. I finally decided to watch it and was surprisingly moved! Very inspirational! Recommend it 100 percent!
This movie was so amazing. It showed me that no matter what the circumstances, no matter how far you've fallen, there is hope. I have been struggling with my faith for a long time, but after watching this movie, my hope in faith is restored. Hallelujah!!! Praise Him!!!

I actually enjoyed this movie. I cried a few times. I felt the emotions in this movie. I loved the positivity of putting God first and trusting him with your problems. It would of been so easy to incorporate sex or kissing instead it stayed appropriate and realistic.

Amazibg! I'm really so happy I watched this film. Great direction, acting, and story but it's the message that really pulled me in. Too many movies these days have pointless stories so it's refreshing to watch a film that's inspirational and inspires us to be the best we can be! A+
