Michael Ironside who does the voice of Sam Fisher also does his voice in the Splinter Cell video game series.

The Prime Minister of Bolivia was upset about the setting of Ghost Recon Wildlands that he filed a formal complaint with the French embassy demanding to intervene with the launch.

In an update from May 2nd, you can play a mission where a character called Walker helps you. That character is played by Jon Bernthal. He plays a (non playable) Ghost that helps you with info and fights during this campaign.

Sam Fisher is also in the Splinter Cell games.

The plot element of Ghost Recon Wildland had been inspired by Tom Clancy's 1989 novel, Clear And Present Danger, whereas a clandestine U.S. military operation is waged against a Colombian drug cartel.
