Garden Rescue

Being an Original Ground Force Fan I was curious on how Charlie Sort of on her own would Do as the Main host and No1 of her own Tv show. Ground Rescue Delivered without doubt.

If I had to be negative in the slightest I found some of the Tamped down plain gravel paths a bit cheap and boring but over a period of watching I also worked out why the Rich Brothers lost out to Charlie's designs so many times and that is::::::::-COLOUR GUYS!!

The Printed Designs Are very Computer Generated,Always look the same and are Always Just GREEN!! Add Some colour guys like the rest of the designers and I reckon you would have been chosen more regularly. (my Opinion Obviously)

Rubbish quite simply.

This is the sort of cheap and overly chirpy dross that fills the BBC schedules in the early hours and daytime.

It does absolutely nothing for me. You can write the script before you sit down to watch it, every episode is the same.

The people taking part are either dim or full of themselves and the hosts bizarrely think that this is some sort of showreel for bigger and better TV projects, so are all eyes and teeth when nobody is really watching.

If you have the misfortune of being off from work ill or up in the early hours then you might see this, but other than that, avoid it.

The garden makeovers in this show are amazing and the varied designs for various wants and needs, children, accessibility, wildlife, & more are very interesting. The three designers have a good report, and I enjoy the humor too.

Just today I were watching season 5, section 1 of 35.

I'm surprised that you use impregnated wood for vegetable benches, should not as it is not healthy way. Chemicals will.dissolve from the wood and get to the plant. Please give healthy advices and guide viewers to right direction.

Othervise this is nice show and gives hints how to get most out of small backyard space in the city environment.

Personally I have plenty of space, but some hints can be used there too.

Now it is not time to start work with garden here as it is -7 degrees C outside and 35 cm of snow, but it will be gone in 6 weeks and after that one can start to think what to do.

This show is great if you are looking for a reality program that actually teaches garden landscape design and is not about backstabbing and drama.

This is only based on the earlier seasons because that is what we can get here in the US. 10 stars for the first seasons which included Charlie and the Rich Brothers. 6 stars for the seasons after the Rich Brothers left.

I really loved the contrasting styles, contemporary and cottage, of the Rich Brothers and Charlie. By the end of the fourth season on the show, their design styles began to influence each other which made for even better gardens.

I am not a fan of Lee Burkhill's designs. The plans are very basic, repetitive and theme-ish. After a couple episodes, I just started fast-forwarding when Lee won.

I wish GR would focus more on Charlie and Chris, who has a contemporary style, because they are a great balance. Their combo would bring back some of the magic of the earlier seasons. Until then, GR gets a 6.
