Padre is one of those movies that are difficult to describe. It's a slow burn experience, not a plot heavy one.
I think that's where it's losing a lot of people. I think a lot of people probably go into it expecting that it's going to have this wild plot, but it's not really like that.
This isn't going to be for everyone as a consequence of that. It's always going to be this weird little cult movie with a weird little niche audience. However, if you're open to seeing a movie that's not really trying to go for mainstream tastes or even anyone in particular's tastes, this is definitely one you should consider.
