If u want to see an amazing Amir khan again just see the movie. Everything else is just r u bb i s h. And amir seems so powerful and energetic in his 50s same as he was in his 30s. Hats of to u man.

I usually never miss an Aamir Khan movie but this time I did due to health issues and time constraints. But I did manage to watch this movie on DVD and I regret not watching it on big screen. Pay no heed to negative reviews as plenty of them are baseless and they have not watched the movie at all.

No, its not like Pirates at all. It may look like coz of the look and feel of the set. But thats the only similarity. I had mixed feelings bcoz of so many negative reviews when I started to watch the movie and just 5 minutes into the movie, I was in complete awe of it. Without giving much on the lines of story and screenplay, I would like to end here by giving this masterpiece an 8 out of 10 for such a visual treat.

The movie was highly entertaining to me despite all the bad reviews I had read before watching it.

Sure enough it is not Vishal Bardwaj's Maqbool or Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black and I didn't watch it with that expectation. It is an entertaining family movie with a nice plot and a lot of action. Aamir was on point as always and I loved his character. Mr. Bachchan is a legend and he's in that stage of his career by my opinion , in which it is enough for him just to be in the movie. Fatima was a delight to watch. Someone I really liked is the girl playing young Zafira (Deshna Dugad). She's done pretty well for the small role she had and for her young age.

So , in conclusion, if you are in a mood for an entertaining action , the movie will leave you with a good feeling. Give it a try.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a good film be any measure. But it's not nearly as bad as the reviews and press makes out to be. There are far Worse movies out there that deserve the 3/10 score much more than this one. Aamir Khans acting for one was very refreshing. It was a difficult role to play, and despite some really lousy direction and dialogue, he did a fantastic job. I thought the overall story wasn't bad, the period/pirate setting was good as well (could've done without the Jack Sparrow inspiration and slaps though). But it was the direction and execution that just was of very very low quality. On top of that they were way too ambitious with CGI and action sequences given their skills, and that backfired.

Overall a decent story line, fantastic acting by Aamir, but let down by terrible direction and dialogue. Aamir and the audience should probably stay away from this director as a general rule.

The movie has attracted extreme reviews because of emotions and expectations. The movie delivers mildly on action, drama and suspense with plot twists you won't see coming. If you compare this movie with pirates of Caribbean series, you will be dissappointed. Enjoy it like any other average Bollywood movie.
