Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1 successfully brings back the spirit of the legendary trio Dono, Kasino, and Indro to the big screen. With classic slapstick comedy and fresh parodies, the film provides light entertainment for both longtime fans and new audiences. Vino G. Bastian, Tora Sudiro, and Abimana Aryasatya do a great job mimicking the original trio's style, though it's hard to match their uniqueness. The production is polished with visually appealing scenes, but the simple plot and some repetitive jokes make it lack depth. Still, it remains a fun and enjoyable movie to watch. Thanks.

Well, in the early minute, you'll think that this is remake version of old Chips, in mid part you'll think that this is combination of every Warkop movies. But in the end, you'll find that this is reviving classic legendary movies in modern way and modern comedy. The political and social satire comedy still created in modern way, so you won't feel bored like Indonesian comedy movies nowadays. This is fresh comedy movie.

Salute to those actors, they learn and act very well... The only negative thing is usage of CGI, so useless. Indonesian culture are so beautiful, but you don't need to use that CGI in this kind of movie.

Overall, this is worth a hype, good, but not that best..

This film is supposed to be a tribute to the best era of Warkop DKI movies in the 80s. But turned out to be like their downward era in 90's instead. The problem is with the directing. (2 out of 5) The good comedy is always about the right timing, balancing between humor and dramatic craft. Not the kind of films that give you over- abundance humor. The director of Warkop Reborn : Jangkrik Boss! Part 1 sadly doesn't know how to stop with his show-off kind of directing. The director is known for his tendency to use a gimmick over and over until yo get tired of it.

But this movie has some effective humor and the tribute.

I love the movie because it is packed with funny stories. Can be watched with family. Makes your day laugh :)
