फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
I liked this movie. It was interesting and entertaining.
This was a good role for Whitney Cummings. I always so her as a comedian, but she manages to explore other acting abilities which I did not see before. A nice surprise.
The main romantic interest between Kevin and Julia works very well. The only problem: I wanted to see more of it, and less the other couples. It is regrettable it was not explored more. In fact, I would have liked to have seen this film just with the main story line, explored properly.
The Vergara / Cole storyline was particularly dull and disappointing; I wish they would have just cut it out from the film. The others were good enough, mildly entertaining, and casting was good (especially Marsden / Punch, which worked well).
Beanie Feldstein is always entertaining, and it was good to see her again.
To summarize, good movie, very watchable. I liked it.
p.s. I am also a man! ;-)

This is a good movie. It might seem a bit simple in the beginning, but it is logical, analytical, educational, and medium entertaining, but it winds up everything that happens in a touching and beautiful conclusion/ending. Watch it all to the end..
Btw, I am a man.

I made an imdb account just for this. The first few negative reviews were just silly. To preface I'm a man, since it seems we already hijacked the review board.
I was confused in the beginning as to whether this was a documentary or a rom com, but quickly realized it was the latter. The narrator makes a lot of interesting claims that deserve further discussion. A number of different male/female pairs were presented, and somewhat as caricatures of stereotypes, sure. The actors were believable and although I said they were a bit stereotypical, still relate-able and reasonable. The "don't straighten my hair" dude was a bit annoying and imbalanced.
I don't know where people are upset about man hating or painting them as misogynistic. From the perspective of the narrator that's the point, and it never got past the shallow end. See how the movies concludes before judging... I found the narrator to be an equal offender and spent most of the time laughing with my girlfriend.
It did what it could to deal with a loaded topic and 1.5 hours. I wouldn't say it's particularly deep or that i'll remember it a year from now, but we had a great time and were left with a feeling of warmth as well as even, acceptance?
If you swing too far to either side of the spectrum you might not find much here. But good times for the rest of us. I feel like this book and movie was an attempt to bring back a little sanity to the discussion.

I really like Whitney Cummings and I enjoyed the movie as well. I'm sad to see the poor reviews. I think it was informative and well acted. It was great to get all that information and still be entertained. I was never bored and I found it interesting and amusing.
Ignore where Hulu or whatever threw this in the genre category. The people giving it a low rating just because they didn't find it funny are missing the point of the film. I mean, come on, some are writing in here that they didn't even watch the whole thing and you need to to get the point. Yes it has its funny moments but its not that kinda movie. It's to show us that, yeah, us guys get a bit competitive around eachother and our testosterone plays into it and women enjoy gossip because it helps them feel more in tuned to the society they are in. But we shouldn't jump the gun based on assumptions we may have with the opposite sex at times and at other times it's those differences that make eachother stronger. Whitney Cummings is brilliant. Anyone who's actually listened to her speak publicaly like when she's on Rogans podcast knows she knows her stuff so to say she's just making up what she is saying needs to pick up a book. Please watch this with an open mind and pay attention to the details it's trying to show.
