La Misma Sangre

I had an issue with the writing: I get the "poetic justice" of it all, but the resolution of this film fails the plausibility test. (Unless the daughter chose not to involve her husband ASAP because she thought she would be able to manage the situation on her own, which we know -without giving the ending away- was not possible.) As for the acting, I agree with the reviewer who stated that "Oscar deserves and Oscar."

It takes a good while before this movie starts to make sense, and once it does it is very much worth the wait. I think the movie deservef better editing. The opening sequence left me wondering why it was included. And the scene where Sebastian tried to force his son to tell him something about the grabdfather, this scene could have been left out. Despite the puzzling beginning and the editing issues, it is a a good watch.

I love Argentinian movies. Oscar Martínez never disappoints! Quite interesting family drama/thriller. Superb acting by all actors.

Very slow and boring supposed mystery film, but there is no mystery at all. Just a predictable drama and nothing more. I don't understand what has the title to do with story of the film.

An hour in, it seemed, this isn't going anyplace, nothing is going to happen. It wasn't. Folks are going to die, one of them quite creatively, but the story itself is far from creative. Nobody evolves that much, or evinces much sympathy.

Don't make extraordinary efforts to see this moderate piece, especially if you could see an interesting thriller like Burning instead.
