I had not seen the trailer of this movie, and since I was spoiled by disappointing masala movies of similar style of names, I thought this movie was going to be some kind of masala action movie with no real story. But with in few minutes into this movie, I knew I was totally wrong about my prejudice and I was happy about it.

The story revolves around an incident that happened to the young married couple while on their trip after a huge fight between them. Dulquer plays the role of Sidharth who is really short tempered and has anger management issues. His wife, Anjali, played by Sai Pallavi, tries her best to help him manage his anger. They live pretty good loving life except the occasional little fights between them caused mostly because of Sid's short-temperness. Anyway, one day Sidharth's anger got out of his hand and one thing lead to another, which ended up having Anjali leave to her parents home. I hate to spoil rest of the movie here but I can guarantee it is one of the best and longest most intense sequence in malayalam movie ever.

Many elements of the movie can be related to almost all households. One scene that comes to my mind is when Sidharth asks Anjali drive the car and how her poor driving causes anger. So relatable to me.

All casts and crew of this movie did an excellent job making this movie. Chemban Vinod & Vinayakan deserves mention for their villain characters. Soubin Shahir's character was not only pivotal but also added some humor in the movie. Special appreciation to Rajesh Gopinadhan & Sameer Thahir for the prefect ending of the movie.

I guess the moral of the story would be:

1) Being able to control anger is necessary skill. 2) Driving is an important skill to have in today's world regardless of gender.

The Opening Scene of Hotel leaves an impression through out the first half and your mind starts asking you for its relevance in the movie and few might answer themselves for a possible link in the second half. And the moment the pair goes into the hotel it gets stronger. Overall it is well picturized where emoting anger for petty issues is shown as a problem and it gets as serous as it gets towards the endof the movie and this is so much required to be shown in current age of cinema where anger is misunderstood as attitude and is followed as a fashion. Thanks to movies like kabir singh, Udtha Punjab etc. This movie grows slowly upto first half and you will understand that in the last 25minutes of the movie where how the problem of protagonist leading himself to and how he handles himself and stay cool inspite of circumstances force him unlike his usual instinct of wrongfull use of anger. Sai pallavi and dulqer where very good. Director handled this pretty well. A Must watch if you have loved protagonist with anger issues.

I loved the natural flawless acting of Sai & Dq (As i'm completely done with bollywood actor's over acting). I have no clue why some people rated this movie so low. Its a masterpiece, i came across such a movie after so long.The story build up is really commendable, suspence was top notch too. Its first time ever, that i have appreciated action scenes of a movie, was totally in awe. I guess we should start appreciating such realistic movies while avoiding the overdramatic movie sequences. I believe Its not just a one time watch but an experience to cherish forever for a moviejunkie.Overall great movie, tremendous acting & direction.

I don't know why people gave it low ratings. I have only one word to describe this movie and that is MASTERPIECE. Plot, acting, action scenes, screen play, cinematography everything is just perfect. A must watch movie.

Kali is a thriller which makes you tensed, excited and emotional. The film is a story of an angry young man Siddarth(Dulquer Salman) and his wife, Anjali(Sai Pallavi).

The first half shows how loose tempered is Siddarth. He goes insane for smallest of things. Overall, it is decently paced with some comedies and romance of Siddarth and Anjali.

The chemistry of Salman and Pallavi were awesome. They were not acting instead, they lived.

The audience were in loud cheers when Soubin shows up. He made an instant impact with the first dialogue itself. The caliber of PT mash of Premam is second to none.

The film goes to another level from the interval scene. It changes from an entertainer to thriller genre. I can't even explain what was going through my mind but what I can say is, I was a lot tensed and excited to know what to follow.

Each and every scene of the second half will make you thrilled. Chemban Vinod and Vinayakan once again show that Malayalam film industry is in safe hands.

Kudos to Sai Pallavi. She showed that she is not a one time wonder. She acted superbly, sorry she lived. Her performance will make you emotional for sure.

May I know is there anyone who still says Dulquer stays in the industry just because he is the son of the great Mammoty? He improves with each and every film. He delivered a matured and lively performance. I can't say this is his career best but it's right up there as one of the best.

The only negative I felt was climax could have been made a little better. Overall, it is a must watch movie for all.
