Blind

Worth a one or two times watch. Honestly, the plot is a little unclear and vague. A few parts are unreasonable. There has been a trial of portrayal of humour through the character of Prithvi but in vain.

Now coming to the aspects I appreciated (1) Sonam's acting was very good. She totally justified her character and absolutely suited the role. Overall she did a great job.

(2) A number of lessons (though common) you can take away from the film.

(3) Eerie setting as needed but could have been better.

(4) Beautiful portrayal of the bond between dogs and humans.

If you are free and bored go watch it.

Anwar Says: Casting Bay is a true company which chooses the right person for right character of a movie and the perfect example is this remake of a Korean movie of the same name. But in spite of the perfect cast film fells down. Could have been a perfect comeback for Sonam Kapoor but long drawn scenes and predictable every next sequence made it a boring one.

Purab Kohli, as I have said, was a perfect choice for villain but if director Shome Makhija couldn't exploit him , it's not his fault. Newcomer Shivam Saraf impresses in his limited screen presence. Vinay Pathak concentrated more on eating than playing an investigating cop. I really pity for Sonam Kapoor.

Adaptation allows plenty of room for improvisation but if the Caption of the Ship decides to use the same old methods of sailing and sink the boat,it would never find the bank of the sea. Watch it only if you have nothing else to do.

"Blind" is a movie that unfortunately fails to showcase the acting talents of Sonam Kapoor, bcz she has none. Kapoor's performance in the film is disappointing, lacking depth and conviction. Her portrayal of a visually impaired character comes across as superficial and unconvincing, leaving the audience disconnected from the story. Kapoor's inability to effectively convey the emotions and struggles of her character hampers the overall impact of the film. It is evident that her lack of acting skills becomes a hindrance, making it difficult to engage with the narrative. "Blind" ultimately falls short in delivering a compelling performance from Kapoor, leaving us unsatisfied and unimpressed.

Now, sonam kapoor is getting so low that she is buying votes to increase the rating. What a shame.

On the plot... you are searching for a serial kidnapper. Police wasn't interested to take it seriously unless people have to convince them, neither they check/find any single CCTV in whole Glasgow during their investigation. Villian was like super man, can kill anyone, reach anywhere, even after the long chase with eye witness... He didn't even see his face or identity the villian. Unnecessary drama to make it long. Except Vinay Pathak, others are just trying hard to be in the character. Useless logic in crime investigation, when they say Sonam was top cop and highest ranker. I doubt Scottish police is that dumb to conduct such stupid investigation ever.

Blind review :

Another week in Bollywood with yet another senseless remake; Blind is adapted from a South Korean thriller and premiered directly on JioCinema this friday. Wise call by the makers I would say, as this movie wouldn't have lasted one day in theatres. No kidding!!

A serial killer (Purab Kohli) is on the loose and only one blind (ex) cop (Sonam Kapoor) has interacted with him once. How this lady manages to nab the dangerous criminal forms the crux of this lethargic and yawn inducing screenplay.

Sonam Kapoor as the main lead, is a disaster yet again proving her supremely untalented acting skills. This movie needed a Vidya Balan, boss!! Purab Kohli fails to scare in a negative role of the psychopath doctor. Vinay Pathak is just about okey dokey as the investigating cop.

Most of the film's dialogues are in English and the few Hindi ones suck big time. The foreign locales add zero value to the plot and I wonder why the movie couldn't be based in our own swadesh!!

Unsolicited suggestion: Act blind as well as deaf if anyone recommends you this tripe. You will do yourself a big favour!!
