Circles

Manny and Simon have a problem. The zip has gone out of their marriage. They have clearly been diverging for a long time, one successful and getting ahead, the other addicted to crystal meth (not a spoiler - this is in the very first interaction between them). Neither knows how to let go. They don't even love each other any more. Simon wants to move on with someone else but is hypnotised almost into staying.

A twist in the tale means that single life happens and there's no happy future for anyone.

This was pretty acutely observed in terms of the inertia of a fading relationship and the dynamics of being in a rut. A worthwhile few minutes.

The fear of loneliness as axis of decent film about relations, insecurity, need of the other and reactions. A good film more for idea defining it than the storytelling. But , working in reasonable manner, it can useful as support for reflection or self recognizing.
