फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
it's not citizen kane, but a decent alien invasion movie...it's primarily a guy movie...lots of weapons and fighting...made from a male warrior point of view.... decent acting--the lead actor is a very experienced actor who had the lead in a TV series some years ago...
good production values...a simple, straightforward story line...definitely worth a watch...
it's low budget, but with current computer graphics tech, almost anything is possible...

Why do people still produce movies that heavily rely on special effect with mediocre ones, equivalent or worse to what was possible 20 years ago?
On top of that, acting is really mediocre: it's clear the "actors" are here only because they need to pay their rents and groceries.
It is hard to care about the characters: we only wish they all dies ASAP so this horrible visual experience they call a movie ends.

There is just something interesting about the alien invader movies, but more than often such movies happen to be made on a low budget. And while "Drone Wars" were indeed on a low budget, it was actually a surprisingly nice movie for what it turned out to be. Now, don't jump on the horses just yet, I am not saying that it is a fantastic movie, merely that it was watchable and entertaining enough for what it was given its limitations.
While "Drone Wars" hardly can be described as being innovative or revolutionary, then it does make fair use of an already well-enough established concept idea.
The special effects in the movie were adequate, though you shouldn't set yourself up for something spectacular. I have seen much better CGI effects in other Sci-Fi movies, just as I have seen much worse. So on that account, "Drone Wars" were doing adequately. The effects were there, and they served their purpose well enough, just don't expect a myriad of bedazzling CGI effects.
Now, you might be a bit hesitant about the movie given it stars Corin Nemec, and given his track record of movies, who can blame you? But don't write him off just yet, because this was actually one of his better movies, and he did perform quite well here. And most of the movie was centered on him, so he is in focus a lot throughout the course of the movie, and he managed to carry the movie quite well.
While "Drone Wars" did indeed a generic movie, it still had some entertaining aspects to it and some good moments. So if you enjoy the Sci-Fi genre, and is looking for a light Sci-Fi movie, then "Drone Wars" could perhaps be well enough worth watching.

So, I am going to be very honest here;
While the idea of the film is quite good, the execution is done badly overall, the CGI (or 'Badly edited Jpegs of aliens') is hilariously bad done.
The story and most of the acting was done well tho, and I did enjoy the storyline that was there.
One has to say though, they were on a budget that didn't allow for a lot of fancy hollywood-costing CGI and they worked around that pretty well. The directing and acting was awesome and I don't think many could have done better considering this low budget they had to work with.
Sure, it's not Marvel, or DC, it's not a universal top-budget film, but overall, I laughed at the bad CGI and enjoyed the things that were done well.
Seeing that, I give it a 6 -for effort- mostly.

The awful CGI was bad enough. But then they scan the layout of a weapon with... a soldering iron ! And of course it reveals the complete contents of the weapon, what it does, etc.
Either this movie is created by total idiots, or for total idiots. Either way, not worth watching at all.

- ट्रिवियाThis movie repeats the "aliens coming for our natural resources" trope. In reality, every single one of Earth's natural resources is available in larger quantities (and without the need to start a war with mankind) elsewhere in the solar system.
- गूफ़Towards the end, as the mothership is coming down in flames, a busy LA highway can be seen, with normal heavy traffic running.
