De hotelmoord

The story of what happens when you don't have the plastic to pay for plastic surgery. A little more obvious this one and a bit shorter in length. Maybe the time could have been used to dig further into the lives of the characters but still some good laugh out lines and Jasper seems to be becoming more likeable. The subtitles using American English are a bit annoying but doesn't detract from a great show.

This is the second time this series has misled the viewers. At the top of the show Professor T said, "Humans who wrongly call themselves 'Homo Sapiens', are guided more by irrational decisions than by solid reasoning."

That was the same type of recursive lie that Professor T began the previous episode with. Anyone who isn't listening carefully will think everyone is a Homo Sapien. When, in fact, there are TWO distinct bloodlines: Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals.

This episode was interesting because we met a killer who was (at least while playing Chess) just as smart as Professor T. Then the unstated challenge became: how would Professor T overcome this extraordinary killer?

What's beginning to become clear is, Christina Flamant is a guilt-ridden bureaucrat who blames anyone but herself for her mistakes. To his credit, T does not waste time haggling with her. In an interesting paradox, this is the one social situation when Professor T's intentional silence exemplifies strength of character.

I'm truly enjoying this show. It's not overly gross. And by including levity during each episode, the serious situations seem plausible. IMHO, this series is what The Undertaker attempted to be, but failed.
