Amazing! A 9.5 almost unheard of rating.

"Murder Made Me Famous" doesn't start until Saturday Sept 6, 2015, and Airs Thu. Aug. 27, 11:00 PM on REELZ. it's only August 26 early morning right now.

It really makes me angry when I see a stuffed ballot box rating. I come here to see what the public thinks of the movies and TV shows I look up, so I can decide whether or not I want to watch.

This doesn't mean the show is no good, it just means the people connected to it don't have enough confidence in it to allow a real rating.

This is the first time I've ever posted on IMDb and I only did it because I was so darn mad at seeing this kind of behavior yet again.

Have some confidence in your own work people!

As was the famous line that Detective Joe Friday stated in many of the 1967 crime/drama TV series Dragnet episodes, so does this new television series Murder Made Famous provide only the facts in some of the more famous murder cases in recent years.

This series focuses on providing a combination of actors re-enacting some of the events that resulted in a high profile murder and supplemented with actual archive video footage of police interrogations of some of the actual criminals.

As is the case with the very first episode which focuses on the female killer Jodi Arias who murdered her former boyfriend salesman, Travis Alexander on June 04, 2008. We are provided with actors who portray murderer Jodi Arias and her victim Travis Alexander outlining how they first met, and subsequently became lovers. When Travis Alexander decided to break off their relationship the episode then outlines how Jodi Arias premeditated the calculated murder of her former lover. It also outlines how sloppy she was in her attempt to cover up her heinous crime.

The series is delivered in a documented style mixing scenes utilizing actors while mixing in actual crime scene footage and/or police video interrogations with the actual criminals as they did with this first episode.

I enjoyed the factual presentation of the events leading up to the murder(s) and the subsequent court proceedings when the guilty are brought to justice. This is a very professional depiction of the actual crimes/murders committed and depicts how callous some of these murderers who live in our neighborhoods can become.

I began watching this series from the beginning. I am familiar with many of the situations, so I plan to skip some of the episodes. What I did find after watching three episodes is that the language used can be aimed at making the killer seem more vicious than I found them to be. The Jodi Arias episode. Her love interest, whom she murders out of sheer frustration when she cannot let him go, is called by the series's obsessive behaviour. While one can argue obsession, she is being strung along by the man with whom she has a good relationship until he ends it. Many women try to reconnect, and don't kill yes but he is quite the arse for continuing to have sex with her. And yes, many wouldn't kill him, but he provokes her with his demeaning behaviour.
