फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
I really liked it, I liked the way that the director used to underline the contrast between the "western" starts, super equipped with technical and expensive stuffs trying to summit after a long training, and the Pakistani guides who were going almost with slippers and no equipment at all, facing the same problems of the others but with no equipment at all, the alternation of the point of views was really interesting and the clash between the two faces of the same reality was evident and strong so I really liked the story and how it has been narrated. About the photography, scenes and so on i can just say that Iara Lee were able to capture the BEAUTY as a pure entity, the colours, the landscapes and the details were true beauty, in many points they were almost mystic, the purity of the mountains and their power was astonishing, I felt the "beauty" in those images so I enjoyed it also aesthetically and at the end it made me simpathyze with the Pakistani porters and made me want to go there and see the beautiful mountains.
One guys says he has ten kids and he wonders why he is poor. Maybe climbers should bring condoms and IUDs to Pakistan. The problems of these people don't stem from the rich Westerners who come to climb the mountain; it's their religion that is working against them. It's their almost complete lack of education. No amount of enlightenment or benevolence from climbers is going to change that.
With that said, if you can't climb a mountain on your own, stay home. I dabbled a bit in the mountains and I couldn't even dream about leaving tons of trash in my wake just so that I can say I climbed up a rock. Screw all of them, all that pay thousands of dollars to be escorted to the top while some flunkies do most of the work. Shame on all of them.

Well told story of the plight of K2 porters. These guys are the true unsung hero's of the high itinerary trekking and expedition world.
This film should be made compulsory viewing for all those wishing to go to K2, or any other Himalayan expedition.
Perhaps a little understanding and support could be achieved...
They deserve better treatment, pay, equipment, recognition and support for a better quality of life for their families.
Enough said and credit to the film makers.
