फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
I have really fallen for Korean dramas! I first watched Marriage Contract which was sad but excellent.
This series was even better and soooo romantic! Lovely characters, great story line and I love that there is no objectionable content. Highly recommend!
I'm not sure I've struggled to rate something on here as much as I have with this series.
I've given it an 7 but I could as easily have given it a 3 or 4. I'm attempting to justify the 7 by confirming I eagerly continued watching right up until the end, but towards the end I was watching partly in fury at its portrayal of the female characters as always being at the mercy of the men's whims and barked orders, and of its attempt at eliciting sympathy for a villain as evil as any I've ever seen portrayed in a drama. Eurrgghhh. Even the hero male lead is easy to dislike.
I'm viewing in 2025 when this series is 11 years old so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. Lord knows why? It's not that long ago, but I'm positive you wouldn't see female characters & female/male interactions written like this now. Would you?
Anyhow... would I recommend this? Probably not, but maybe it's indicative of some small progress made in attitudes towards women in Korean society that this now seems so dated and problematic.

This is a great love story. The acting was wonderful. I like how the heroine plucked up her courage and was assertive to a mean person in the story. Eun Dong's adopted father could have been reprimanded a bit more severely. This drama celebrated unlikelihoods, and this made it fun, but it was not always logically believable. It nonetheless doesn't matter. One watches this show for the love between the 2 main characters. That aspect is absolutely believable and heartwarming.
It started with the children. A young girl and a boy a little bit older getting to know each other and love each other. She always called him Oppa, which translates to be (big) brother in korean.

Giving 9 stars because I really enjoyed it. I usually avoid watching dramas that involve children paternity rights however when I started this I didn't realize it had that element in the theme or I wouldn't have watched it. I watched the whole drama anyway once I found out since I was already into it and it was bothering me the whole time that our main male lead got robbed of raising his own son for 10 years. It is such a sad, sad unfortunate story but was glad to see how things turned out in the end. I was very disappointed in one element of the ending though - which is my reason for not giving this 10 stars - the son said that the next time he saw his real birth father he would call him "DAD" and we never got to see that. I think that should have been included in the ending; the female lead could have walked up holding his hand and he could have called him dad or something along those lines. This important part was left unfinished and left the viewer with a hole in their heart.
My friend recommend this drama to me or i will not watch it. The female lead is not pretty is only the 2nd lead in secret garden. Male lead is a bit too fat. But turn out the male lead's acting is superb. Second male lead act equally good. To be a false and handicapped husband, his look is not kind of typical villian, but is a sick man that will arouse your sympatby. The 2 marks is deducted because i do not appreciate very much acting of female lead. Seems she is of the same expression for most of the time.
But overall it is still a splendid drama. The plot is creative and is not illogical. Once you begin you cannot stop seeing it.
