Sangre en la boca

It's tough to let go of something you love. And if that something is your job and it is everything to you - that is even tougher. But when is the right time to stop? Because the fire is there, so why not use it? And while this movie is not without its flaws, it does cling onto this idea of a boxer who could retire easily ... but he can't let go and he obviously still has the power and the drive.

Now he also has a family and kids. But it's obvious where his priorities lies. So our main character will not be the most likable one (to put it mildly), especially to those who can feel the pain those surrounding him. And then we throw in a boxer, a young female one, who ignites a different kind of fire in him. There is a connection (no pun intended) and she can throw a blow or two (no pun intended, but there is a lot of nudity in case you were wondering). So if you can see through it and dig into the core of what the movie is telling us, with a good sublime and subtle central performance, you will enjoy this

Le Tigre is not sports movie with rousing fight sequences akin to the Rocky franchise. Instead it's a subtle drama about an aging boxer who isn't ready to let go of the spotlight or his glory days. When Ramón starts a hot and heavy affair with a much younger boxer, Débora, it reignites his drive and passion to chase one more moment in the spotlight.

The movie is comprised of eroticism and relationship drama in equal parts. And believe me Débora, played by Eva De Dominici, is absolutely stunning to look at. Diehard boxing fans may be able to nitpick here and there, but I don't really think the fights are center stage in any case since they are kept relatively short.

Overall, the story is engaging and at 97 minutes, it just breezes by.

Movie is not a sport movie but it is nicely filmed on teacher and student relationship the movie deals with the subject nothing new in the movie is seen the boxing is just use.

I found a movie about boxing, one sees the ring and says: OK we will see some of the sport.

But in itself the movie has no magic, no passion. What it has is bad sex scenes because Eva despite being very beautiful, as an actress does not transmit anything, it always looks the same expression and the same faces. She plays the crazy role pretty well. Also does very well the boxing exercises and the blows.

After watching the movie I asked myself why Leonardo Sbaraglia who I consider such a good actor, he is ready to make a movie of these characteristics, but I do not know, I imagine it can be because he had to train and prepare to be in a very good physical condition on his 40's and he still is an attractive man.

I really could not find any other sense.

I really like this movie. It's about boxing and Ramón after being a professional boxer is at the end of his career. He meet a young boxer named Deborah and they have an affair. Leonardo Sbaraglia is Scandinavia's Ola Rapace, that says it all doesn't it?
