A killer dinosaur film that is not that killer

Was not expecting much from 'KillerSaurus'. It just sounded terribly derivative to the point of being a blatant rip off, the cover/poster looked cheap and like something you'd find advertised for a SyFy or Asylum film, it had a low rating and the reviews were less than promising. So in all honesty was expecting something terrible.

Seeing 'KillerSaurus' with an open mind and fairness intended, it turned out to be not near as terrible as expected. At the same time, didn't find it a particularly good film either. Just for the record, am somebody who hates being critical and is more often than not encouraging and aims to be balanced and tries to evaluate rather than completely gushing or bashing, so will always severely object to being called an armchair critic/expert that is thrown around a lot immaturely.

There are positives. There is colour and atmosphere in the setting and some slickness in some of the shots.

Music is not over-bearing, variety-less or monotonous, even when not being exactly memorable.

Occasionally there is the odd thrill, but that's too far and between.

Conversely, the limited budget shows in particularly the not always very well organised editing and the ropy effects. The dinosaur doesn't steal the show as much as it should and its contribution is not particularly memorable or well used, due to the lack of genuine suspense and horror and its viciousness downplayed too much.

Human characters are underwritten and have little development or endearing personality with frustrating and illogical decisions and behaviours. The acting is very wooden with no exception, nobody looks comfortable.

Also found too much of the dialogue on the wrong side of dumb and cheesy, complete with some soapy moments, and that it didn't flow very well. Parts are too silly, others take themselves too seriously that it becomes dreary. The film is extremely derivative, interesting premise with far too over-familiar execution that has nothing new.

Lack of imagination and suspense also hurts the film, too much evokes cringing and the thrills are sporadic, with a lot of predictability and contrivance. It also tries to throw in too much and some of it holds little if any relevance. The pace is frequently dull and the ending is too hasty and unresolved. The direction felt like they were not in control of the material and not at ease with the genre.

    Overall, weak. 3/10 Bethany Cox

2015 Science Fiction became 2020 Science Fact

2015 did not have the Technology, Medical Research Science of 2020.

At that time the idea of a 3d Ink Jet Printer to print organic tissue layer upon layer was only in Articles as Theoretical written in Scientific American, that obviously most Reviews don't read.

The idea of a 3rd Laser Printer was impossible 2015, as every Color Laser Printer was Low Resolution compared to above 2160 as Ultra High Resolution of 2020 , so high Resolution that you needed a microscope to see the "pixels"., almost what you would need to do a Laser 3d Print, the problem is that these still require a roller drum and fuser. as not possible to build layer upon layer of matter until you have a 3d object.

2015 every computer was slow as Gigahertz compared to today's 2020 NSA Computers multiple processor each processor being zetaflop speeds, that most do not nor never even heard of that kind of speed even 2020. The speed of the computer processors do not only control the computer speeds but also the computer processors inside the printers.

The creation of the Solid State Drive made possible the rapid transfer of data from Drive to Random Access Memory to Processor with a larger Data Path Width. So instead of waiting Days for the Data to go from a Mechanical Hard Drive to a Computer Processor. the Solid State Drive was below the nanosecond read write speed ranges of Mechanical Hard Drives.

The ideas of using chemicals to create amino acids to create strands of DNA and RNA, became a reality once people figured out the "recipes", and "gene splicing", "genetic engineering". The technology of 2015 could not see that and only by using DNA RNA Tests could indicate the DNA RNA Sequences, that looked like oblong circles on printouts, instead of a strand a double helix strands in 3 dimensions as 3d of 2020.

There were many other inventions that made everything possible even things that seemed unrelated like the common use of the Light Emitting Diode (LED) Light bulbs, as used in High Resolution Computer Monitors, Ultra High Definition (Resolution) Large TV Screens instead of a florescent tube back light, the mass production capability of making micro computers as smartphones, iPhones, etc.. High Definition Low Light cameras smaller than a dime (Ten Cents) coin, like used in smartphones and iPhones, that could then be worn and attached to a small transceiver and memory like micro SD Card of a large amount of memory as hours of video and audio the audio used a microphone speaker the diameter of a pencil eraser and still is considered High Fidelity Audio.

The first functioning human organs printed were kidneys.

The Japanese came up with a new method, as using organs from deceased, then stripping the a layer of tissue off and using the recipients tissue growing cells and having the cells attach themselves to the remains of the deceased organ(s), so that there would be NO rejection of the transplanted Organ(s). T he first Organ that the Japanese succeed with were Lungs, then Liver, believed that they are still trying this with a human heart.

Does it suck? You bet Jurassic sucks!

Only way this T-rex is going to kill you is by boring you to death. The concept is interesting, 3-d printed dinosaurs but with how cheaply this movie was made I highly doubt they could have afforded an actual 3-d printer. Also the movie just ends, like build up to nothing, it tries to leave the audience asking for more when we're more than willing to say, "no thanks, I've seen more than enough..."

    Laughable at best

Every once in a while, a movie will come along where you have to admire the people who made it - for whatever reason they made it - and you have to ask yourself.

Why would they make this and who on Earth would do such a thing?

When your dinosaur action packed movie consists of 4 lead players and 2 supporting players and a budget of about $120, you begin to question the meaning of life - and of course, this unsolved crime in movie making history.

With the massive 120 $ budget, you can rent a smoke machine, a car garage with a metal roll door, 2 blue warehouse lights and a red gel which goes over a lamp to turn the light red . You also can create a mindless simplistic software program for 2 year old children and buy a silicone dinosaur mask and a painters suit and dust masks.

That should give you enough change back to buy the lunch for the crew and cast of chocolate bars and water and you still might have a bit of change left to get a coffee for the producer of this disaster.

Scary? No. Thrilling? No. Scientific? No. Dramatic? Romantic? Comedic? Adventurous?

    NO> NO>NO>NO>NO.

You expect too much in life if you expect anything like that. Keep wishing.

It's abysmal in it's own and it;s entire design, production and marketing is laughable at best.

    Killer t Rex cloned

This is a British flick that isn't actually that bad.

A top secret scientist clones a T-Rex with a 3d printer in controlled conditions and it kills some people.

Not a big cast, so don't go into this expecting a lot of action or seeing Rex much or blood

But, the script isn't bad, acting a bit shaky, effects are basic and photography actually quite good.

It kept me wanting to watch until the end and not turn off so that was plus.

The films starts well and then we get the credits.

Then it starts to get very slow.

It builds up eventually and the end is very abrupt.

The reporters accent seems to change in every scene and where a gun comes from in the UK and in this situation seems very out of place.
