Superstore

The more I watch it, the more I like it. The characters are all progressively more defined and interesting and they all mesh well together. Anyone who's ever worked in the service industry might feel nostalgic watching it-- crappy corporate jobs bring the little guys together and you become a family without even realizing it. This show is an inside look on that. It's fun for the whole family to watch and the jokes are always fresh. Definitely recommend it.

I just finished the series and I am so glad it got a series finale. Many series don't have the opportunity to do that so I am glad that some like Arrested development, orange is the new black and the good place got it. Superstore didn't always make me laugh but that's ok. So please, give it an opportunity.

As a lover of sitcoms, this a great one. Superstore has really likeable characters, a surprisingly entertaining setting, and oddly engaging drama; it's generally a very well written show. The reason I didn't give this show a 10/10 is because a few characters in the show (Justine and Carol namely) didn't work for me, but overall, I adore this show and see it as one of the best modern sitcoms among the likes Brooklyn Nine Nine and Abbott Elementary. I had avoided this show for a long time because I figured it was just another show trying to replicate the success of The Office, and there are a few elements of The Office sprinkled in here, but the cast and writing take what could have been a bland recreation in a new setting and elevated it to a gem of a show.

Superstore is pretty funny show that will have you laughing out loud. While I wouldn't put among my top 10-20 comedies I've ever seen, it's still funny enough to where it's worth watching. It's rare when a show has so many hilarious characters that are all almost equally funny. Shows like Friends, Seinfeld, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia & Parks and Recreation are great examples of that and those are among the best sitcoms ever. I'm not saying Superstore is as good as those all-time shows (not many shows are), it's still another sitcom where all the characters are equally funny. If you're looking for a good comedy that will have you laughing out loud then give Superstore a try. You won't be disappointed.

I had never even heard of this show until it was suggested for me on Netflix, and I cannot believe how surprising it is that it is not much more popular. This show is such a pick me up. It's wholesome and sweet and romantic. I audibly laugh out loud at least once every episode. The writing is smart and quick. The characters have unbelievable chemistry, though, to be fair, America Ferrera is such an amazing actor, I would find it shocking if she ever didn't have chemistry with anyone.

On a slightly more serious note, as much as Jonah is considered dweeby by many of his coworkers on the show, I think, overall, his character is such a rare, excellent example of a decent man - which is so rarely seen on television. On tv men are often depicted as narrow, one-dimensional caricatures: domineering, facile, weak, or stupid. Jonah depicts a man with a full spectrum of emotion, strong, kind, gentle, and genuinely concerned about other people - a person of character and real conviction. It adds depth and quality and substance to a hilarious, fun, and often silly show.
