Terrible script. Awfully written dialogue & the actors do their best with what they've been given but it's obvious throughout that the cast had marvellous fun making the film & because it shows on screen, it's also still very enjoyable to watch, regardless. Not a classic & nor is it great, but it's a light-hearted, cheesy movie that doesn't take itself too seriously so I'd still recommend people see it, just for the few laughs it provides.

This is a comedy that is not funny. It is designed to be some sort of sitcom, a mini series maybe. And it is hit and, in my case, miss. The old woman with a machine gun? It is so badly worked it is not even amusing. And that is one of the many scenes thrown in for fluff. They do not help the story. They are not funny. And they were far better on the editing room floor.

The acting is not bad. But it is not good either. And the uninspired mix of mafia, army and catholicism made me think how inspired I was to get my ebook reader with me.

Which is kind of a shame, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the other parts of the meal you are getting served. There seems to be a lot of potential and if you only judge this by the missed opportunities and wasted chances it probably has, than the movie will not be a lot of fun to watch, quite the opposite.

We have some colorful characters and a set up that promises to be fun. Which it is, just not as much as it could. The actors still have fun with their respected role and morality is thrown overboard. No matter who you root for, there does not seem to be someone you could call a good person in this. If you don't mind and just want to have some meaningless fun, this will do the trick

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. There were no real surprises, but it was a good fun comedy horror. A great cast and a good script made sure this romp worked well.

We thoroughly enjoyed this film. Perfect viewing when you've had a busy day at the office and you need something easy to take your mind off things & just relax. We were really impressed with the actor who plays the unsuspecting male lead who is drawn into the vampires' lair. Other highlights were the ever-brilliant Dexter Fletcher and Annette Crosby (Mrs Meldrew!!) as an OAP-vampire- vigilante!! We took a punt and watched it with no preconceptions about what we were about to see, glass of wine in hand, ready to be entertained, which we were. So refreshing to see something that a) doesn't feature superheroes and b) doesn't involve an American male single-handedly saving the world. Again.
