Borgasmord Productions was named for the spoonerism uttered by child actor Mason Reese (then 7 years old) as he described the canned meat product in an Underwood Deviled Ham Commercial. He actually created the word himself - intentionally.

The character played by Brandon Cruz is named Dax Corbett in honor of his character from The Courtship of Eddies Father - Eddie Corbett.

The year "Life Interrupted" was conceived and written was big on anniversaries. 2014 saw the 40th Anniversary of Little House on the Prairie (Alison Arngrim), the 50th Anniversaries of both Gilligan's Island (Dawn Wells) and Bewitched (Erin Murphy) and proceeded the 50th birthday of it's star Mason Reese by 4 months.

All three actors playing Masons friends, as former band-mates are actually musicians in real life. Robbie Rist (Oliver), Brandon Cruz (Dax) and Julie Dolan (Ronnie) have or do play in bands professionally. Robbie Rist co-wrote and sings the Life Interrupted theme song.

In the party scenes, several of the background actors are actress Michael Learned's real-life grandchildren.
