DirecTV will offer bars, restaurants, hotels and other business customers access to several NASCAR races that are scheduled to stream on Amazon’s platform Prime Video, the company announced on Wednesday.

The partnership makes DirecTV for Business the only pay television provider to offer the entire slate of NASCAR races scheduled this season, with the platform also distributing races that will air on Fox Sports, NBC Sports and TNT Sports throughout the year.

The races that will simulcast from Prime Video on DirecTV for Business are scheduled as follows:

June 1: NASCAR Cup Series Race, Nashville Superspeedway June 8: Firekeepers Casino 400, Michigan International Speedway June 15: NASCAR Cup Series Race, Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City June 22: NASCAR Cup Series Race, Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania

DirecTV has long offered its business clients access to sports that are relegated to streaming platforms.

As former Red Bull drivers with 14 seasons in Formula 1 each and 14 Grand Prix wins between them, Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Pérez have the perfect résumé to win them a seat in Cadillac for the upcoming 2026 season. On 22 September 2024, to the shock and dismay of fans all around the world, Daniel Ricciardo announced his retirement from Formula 1 with only 6 races to go for the season. While the Aussie bowed out in grace, his return seems to be shrouded in a muddy haze as he refuses to take advantage of his popularity and fame among the current generation of F1 fans and stage a comeback.

The new season of NASCAR kicked off Sunday with the Daytona 500 race on Fox, which swung into high gear after a temporary weather delay.

Fans who wanted to catch as much of the action as possible didn’t just need an antenna or a pay TV service to pull in their local Fox station or affiliate — they also needed a subscription Warner Bros Discovery (Wbd) streaming service Max, which offered access to in-car cameras from all drivers participating in the race.

And thus began a new chapter in what is already a confusing world of sports on traditional and streaming television.

It started first with baseball, when some regular-season games were relegated to Apple TV Plus, Peacock and now Roku. Then, football fans were told they needed Peacock, Prime Video and Netflix to watch as many nationally-televised regular-season and playoff games as possible.

In the world of basketball, the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James and former professional basketball player Michael Jordan are easily considered two of the biggest names to have ever played for the National Basketball Association.

However, Hollywood actor Will Smith seems to have a different final name on his list of Goat NBA players.

Although he holds both James and Jordon in high regard for how tremendously these two professionals contributed and continue to contribute to the sport, Smith actually tends to differ in his respective opinion on who the Greatest Of All Time basketball player is.

And his response is one that might displease both James and Jordan’s die-hard fans.
