Back in 2023, Hansika starred in a sci-fi crime comedy, Partner. Directed by Manoj Damodharan, the Tamil film starred Aadhi Pinisetty as the leading man. The supporting cast featured Yogi Babu, Pallak Lalwani, Pandiarajan, Robo Shankar, John Vijay, Ravi Mariya, Tiger Thangadurai, Munishkanth, Rajendran, Myna Nandhini and Lollu Sabha Manohar.

During the trailer launch of Partner, Robo Shankar praised Hansika Motwani. He called her a “wax doll” and compared her with a “maida dough” that sticks on the wall.

Khushbu Sundar shared that she regrets acting in Annaatthe, which starred Rajinikanth. In an interview, she was asked about any films she wished she had not been part of. She explained that while her Hindi filmography is limited, she has many regrets about some Tamil films.

Khushbu mentioned that Annaatthe is a recent example. She said, “The role didn’t turn out like it was sold to me.” She further explained that there was no real pairing with Rajinikanth for her.

Sundar did not directly name the movie in the interview. However, she revealed that initially, the film was supposed to have her and Meena as the two heroines. Khushbu admitted that she agreed to the project because no other actress was paired with Rajinikanth at first.

The buzz in the Tamil film industry is that Trisha Krishnan, Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi are reportedly set to join Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s upcoming project, which has been tentatively titled KH234. The project is said to be a political thriller that will showcase Kamal Haasan’s versatility as an actor and Mani Ratnam’s brilliance as a filmmaker.

Trisha Krishnan, who is one of the most popular and successful actresses in South India, has already worked with both Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam in the past. She starred opposite Kamal Haasan in the 2006 comedy-drama film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and the 2015 action-thriller film Thoongaa Vanam. She also played a pivotal role in Mani Ratnam’s 2018 romantic-drama film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which also featured Arvind Swamy, Vijay Sethupathi, Silambarasan and Jyothika in lead roles.

Director Karthik Kumar’s comedy-drama ‘Super Senior Heroes’ released on the Ott platform Netflix on Friday.

The Karthik Kumar-helmed family entertainer was released worldwide on the Tamil regional channel, Sun TV, on October 16.

Super Senior Heroes, which is Yoodlee Films’ third association with Kollywood after successful projects like ‘Abhiyum Anuvum’ and the critically acclaimed, ‘K.D’, features veteran actors from the Tamil film industry including ace director-actor-screenplay writer K. Baghyaraj, Ambika and Pandiarajan.

Saregama India Senior Vice President (Films & Events) Siddharth Anand Kumar said: “I have always been impressed with the unique content regional cinemas make. This is a one-of-a-kind film that redefines the concept of superheroes with a refreshing twist.

“Unlike the young and energetic superheroes with supernatural powers, this movie shows senior citizens posing as superheroes unfettered by their physical ailments. It also conveys the message of how it is the inner strength and determination that matters more than physical stability.

The makers of director Karthik Kumar’s upcoming superhero comedy drama ‘Super Senior Heroes’, which features a host of stars including popular legendary actor and director K Baghyaraj, have now released a trailer of the film.

Interestingly, the trailer shows that the film, which has been produced by Yoodlee Films, has redefined the superhero genre with a refreshing twist.

Helmed by well-known actor, Karthik Kumar, this is Yoodlee’s third Tamil project after successes like ‘Abhiyum Anuvum’, and ‘K D’.

Interestingly, ‘Super Senior Heroes’ is all set to premiere on October 16 on Sun TV and features some of the most loved veterans of Tamil cinema.

Following yesterday’s news that Amazon Prime Video India had made its biggest direct-to-service movie acquisition with the Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana comedy Gulabo Sitabo, the streamer has unveiled a further six local titles that will debut exclusively on the platform.

The six movies all would have been theatrical releases, were it not for the ongoing cinema closures in India due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, Amazon has stepped in to give them a home, and will premiere each title on its platform in 200 countries over the next three months.

The films span five Indian languages. They include Anu Menon’s mathematician biopic Shakuntala Devi starring Vidya Balan and produced by Abundantia Entertainment, legal drama Ponmagal Vandhal starring Jyothika (Chandramukhi), and Penguin starring Keerthy Suresh (Mahanati).
