In 1978 he was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize.

In 1978 he received the Order of the Badge of Honour.

In 1950 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School.

In 1984 he was honored with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.

In 2003 he was awarded Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 3rd class, followed in 2008 with the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class.

In 1952 he graduated from the Moscow City Pedagogical Institute named after Vladimir Potemkin.
