- Michael's feature length spec script, "Spider Eaters" was named a Top Five Finalist at Screamfest 2016, a Top Ten Finalist at FilmQuest 2016 and a Top Ten Finalist at NOLA Horror Film Festival 2016.
- Michael's feature length spec script, "The Costume People" was named a Top Ten Finalist at FilmQuest 2017 and a Top Ten Finalist at NOLA Horror Film Festival 2017.
- Michael's feature length spec script, "Mom Died" was named the Winner of the Horror Genre at the 2019 Creative Screenwriting Unique Voices Screenplay Competition, a Top 13 Finalist at the 2019 Nightmares Film Festival and a Semi-finalist at 2019's Screamfest.
- In May of 2020, Michael was part of a virtual, benefit reading of "Our Town", which included actors Amy Brenneman, Annie Potts, Joshua Leonard, John Michael Higgins, Lee Arenberg, David Alpay and Zoe Hall, among many others.
- In December of 2020, Michael was part of a virtual, benefit reading of "A Christmas Carol", which included actors Amy Brenneman, David Dastmalchian and David Alpay, among many others.
- Michael's feature length spec script, "Boys" was named a Top Five Finalist at 2021's Screamfest, a Screenplay Finalist at 2021's FilmQuest and placed in the Top 20% at the 2021 Academy Nicholl Fellowship.
- In the spring of 2022, Michael completed work on his 15th feature spec screenplay, the horror/fantasy/comedy, "A Stench in the Nostrils of God".
- Michael played "The Writer" in two separate stage productions of Neil Simon's The Good Doctor.
- Michael's 16th feature spec screenplay, "One Last Build in Centralia" won "Best Writing" at the Sunset Film Festival, an Honorable Mention at Screenplay Festival and was an Official Selection at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.
