Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Sokratis Papastathopoulos is a Greek professional footballer who has played for multiple clubs throughout his career. He is most well known for playing for Arsenal and Dortmund. He started his career playing for AEK Athens in Greece making 42 appearances for them. He then moved to Niki Volos on loan and then to Genoa. He then went to Werder Bremen on loan and then he signed for them permanently. He then joined Dortmund in 2013 and stayed there until 2018 when he moved to Arsenal. He stayed in Arsenal until 2021 in which he left and joined Olympiacos. He stayed in Olympiacos for two seasons and then moved to Real Betis in Spain where he retired in 2024 making 15 appearances for them. He also made 90 appearances for the Greek National team throughout his career.
