Indeed filmmaking is at the very interesting point nowadays. It's easy to do it with this advanced technology and cameras, in fact, filmmaking is also storytelling. That's where we keep failing. Storytelling needs budget and imagination with many aspects. If you don't have one, you have to change your way to tell it. As long as conditions estimate your limits, it will be a pure failure. You have to estimate your own conditions.

It seems to me making slow movies during these times is being stuck in the past when we get ready to enter the fast digital era in which people complain while they wait in the shopping queue and have no more endurance left. Tarkovsky, Hitchcock and many others brought a revolution to the cinema, but time passes and cinema needs a new revolution for modernization and look ahead.

Filmmaking is not a piece of cake even with advanced technology. It's like bringing a child to the world. A nativity with terrible labor pain.

We came to the era that we discuss whether cinema is an art or not which means seventh art agonizes. Nowadays people don't know the difference between the video and movie because they don't know storytelling either.
