Husband was Tim Russert who was the Washington bureau chief for NBC News and the moderator of Meet the Press (1947). They met at the 1980 Democratic National Convention. They have one son, Luke, who graduated from Boston College, and from 2008-2015 was a correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC.
