Malik Blade and Edris Enofé kicked off the match against New Catch Republic, but Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne used their athleticism against them as Dunne took Blade out before the team hit a joint powerbomb to secure the fall. Legado del Fantasma’s Angel and Berto were next into the match, and it led to more high octane-offense, culminating in Apollo Crews appearing and costing Legado the win. Bate and Dunne continued only to run into Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, but a rollup by Dunne caught Anderson off-guard. Michin is one step closer to making history as she defeated Tatum Paxley in a Women’s Nxt North American Championship Qualifying Match. Before the bell could even ring, both Superstars battled it out as Paxley tried to grab the newly unveiled title from the grasp of rapper Sexyy Red, and Michin didn’t take kindly to the disrespect. Michin looked as impressive as ever as she hit a huge dive to the outside as well as a devastating pounce, but the resilient Paxley absorbed every big shot and came just seconds away from winning the match herself. Match #1: Fallon Henley def. Thea Hail The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Fallon Henley punched her ticket to Nxt Battleground by defeating her former friend Thea Hail, thanks to an unintentional assist from Chase U ally Ridge Holland. Hail had the upper hand and a frustrated Henley slid out of the ring and grabbed a chair, only to be thwarted by Holland. The Nxt official was unaware that it was Henley that introduced the weapon, and promptly ejected Holland as well as all of Chase U. Hail managed to rally without her teammates, but Henley managed to knock her around the ring before hitting a Shining Wizard to punctuate her win. After the match, Jacy Jayne’s friend Jazmyn Nyx attacked the helpless Hail.

Match #1: Noam Dar def. Dijak The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The numbers game of the Meta-Four proved dividends for Noam Dar as Supernova 11 conquered the much larger Dijak thanks to Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson, and Oro Mensah. Dijak laid into the Scottish Superstar, crushing him with brutal chops, strong strikes, and back-breaking tosses across the ring. Dar was even on the receiving end of a ring-shaking sit-out chokeslam. Dar managed to rally and hit a Fisherman Buster on the larger Dijak, parlaying that move into an armbar that incapacitated his arm. After trading incredible shots, Dijak became distracted by Mensah who jumped on the apron, allowing Dar to hit Nova Roller to pick up the huge win.

Match #1: Kiana James def. Kelani Jordan The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Kiana James is running roughshod over the Nxt women’s division with Kelani Jordan being her latest victim inside the ring. Jordan was unfazed by the experience of James and the threat of Izzi Dame on the outside as she even hit a picture-perfect moonsault to the outside to take them both out. The numbers game proved to be too much for James to overcome as Dame knocked her off the apron when the referee was distracted, allowing James to hit Dealbreaker and pick up the win.

Match #1: Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams def. Edris Enofé & Malik Blade The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Trick Melo Gang is on the same page as Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes took down Edris Enofé and Malik Blade in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Trick and Melo came out hot, but the supreme athleticism of Blade and Enofé evened the playing field in a big way, highlighted by tandem splashes to the outside. Despite the incredible fight from Blade and Enofé, Trick Melo Gang took care of business and punched their ticket to the semifinals.
