Began his career in the music business in the late 1950s as a promoter with Coed Records. One of his first jobs was to promote The Crests' song "16 Candles".
Co-founder (with Herb Alpert) of Carnival Records.
With partner Herb Alpert, founded the record label Almo Sounds in 1994.
