It’s a newly introduced mechanic that limits how much Cyberware V can install in their body, forcing them to be much more selective about installing implants. However, there are ways to increase the Cyberware Capacity limit or even bypass it entirely.

The game’s Cyberware systems received a rework as part of Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.0, so each piece of Cyberware now takes up part of V’s Cyberware Capacity. It effectively stops players from plugging tech into every Cyberware slot in V’s body at once, creating a sense of steady progression towards high-quality implants. However, you’ll need to push the limit higher by unlocking Perks, leveling up and using Shards.
