London, Jan 18 (Ians) Liverpool were able to put their league problems behind them for the night as they qualified for the fourth round of the Fa Cup with a 1-0 win away to Wolverhampton in their third round replay.

Harvey Elliot’s 13th minute goal decided the match in which Wolves threatened but failed to really test Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, reports Xinhua news agency.

“It is a pretty rare feeling, it feels like ages ago that we had that feeling. We had to fight hard at the end, but that’s the nature of the competition. It feels great for the moment,” said Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp after the final whistle.

His side will now travel to Brighton in the fourth round, meaning as quick return to the ground where Liverpool lost 3-0 last weekend in what Klopp described as the “worst” performance during his spell at the club.

London, Aug 26 (Ians) Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that the club could enter the transfer market, saying the authorities are working constantly to find the right player for the squad.

Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay since finishing runners-up to Manchester City in the Premier League last season and a lengthy injury list has left them short of midfielders.

The transfer window closes next Thursday and Klopp said, “We are working constantly on these type of things and we’ve spoken before about why sometimes it’s not happening. Sometimes it’s expensive, sometimes not the right player, but then situations change. It needs to be the right player and we’re working. If something will happen or not, I don’t know.”

Klopp is not expecting any of his injured players to return to contention for Saturday’s home Premier League game against Bournemouth.

London, Aug 19 (Ians) Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits Darwin Nunez will have plenty of time to learn from his red card for headbutting Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen in the 1-1 Premier League draw at Anfield.

The Uruguay international, who arrived in the summer, was dismissed early in the second half for flooring the Eagles centre-back after the two had tangled with each other during the match.

“Provocation and definitely wrong reaction, he will learn from that. I came in and wanted to see the situation — in the game, I could not see anything so I could know what happened: I saw Andersen on the floor and Darwin walking away,” Klopp said.

“Then I saw it — yes it is a red card. Wrong reaction in the situation. Andersen wanted that, he got it but he (Nunez) made a mistake.”
