Wrestling might be scripted, but sometimes the performances are so good, you start to forget that it’s all part of the show. That’s exactly what happened recently with Mjf. He’s a big name in Aew and has built quite the rep as one of the top heels in the game.

Lately, he faced off against none other than Mistico, one of the most iconic Luchadors around today. True to his heel persona, Mjf went all in and completely humiliated Mistico during the match. A humorous moment from this week’s Monday Night Raw was when the general manager asked Pat McAfee to “talk it out” to Gunther; he almost tripped getting into the ring. The awkward moment captured on tape has caused many fans to ask themselves if McAfee’s fight at WWE Backlash is fair.

We all know Pat McAfee as a good guy who breaks down the storylines for us, but he was also an NFL star punter. His mic work did help get the fans to cheer for him even more, but I can’t help but think of the stumble he took entering the ring and the look on his face when Gunther stated he would not spare him makes you wonder if he is truly ready for a beast like “The Ring General.”

Gunther has been a cornerstone for WWE television programming for the last two years. The Ring General had a remarkable run on Nxt UK, Nxt, and the main roster, spending almost 80% of his WWE tenure as a champion. However, things went sour for The Ring General this past week at WrestleMania.

On Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, Gunther defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso. The match was a huge back-and-forth contest between the two formidable rivals that saw Jey Uso dethrone him for the title by making Gunther tap out. This led to the Ring General suffering one of the most embarrassing losses of his career.

Moreover, he was also not happy with some remarks made by Michael Cole while calling his match. Gunther tried to attack him, which in turn led to a huge fiasco and a major situation with inside details emerging after WWE announced his suspension.

Ring of Honor Television is in the books for another week. The company is building towards it’s 15th Anniversary Pay Per View event where the winner of the Decade of Excellence Tournament will face off against Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole. How did the show hold up this week?

The show opened with a great recap of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 11 show where Kyle O’Reily was defeated by Adam Cole from The Bullet Club, winning the Ring of Honor World Championship in the process.

One thing I love about Ring of Honor is the working relationships they have with other companies like New Japan Pro Wrestling and Cmll in Mexico. Coleman tackled his 20-year-old teammate Tyson Gentry, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. "I juked to the outside, and Kurt kind of bit on that," Gentry told Espn. "So, that gave me the opening. Quarterback threw me the ball, and as the ball got there, Kurt caught up to me, reached over to tackled me and drove me down to the ground." That's when Gentry felt all sensation leave his body.

Top WWE officials are very upset that Ring of Honor and Figure Toy Company plan on releasing a Kevin Steen (Owens) action figure, according to a report in the Wrestling Observer.

They’re mad because WWE is pushing Owens as a big star right now and now Roh will enter the toy marketplace with an action figure for him before they can.

A big reason why they are upset is because the look of Kevin on Roh as Steen is the same to when he’s in WWE as Owens. It’s not like he’s out there playing a different character or changing up his look, which hurts WWE because then Roh could profit off what WWE is doing with him. The announcement was made about two weeks ago with Adam Cole and the Briscoes also getting action figures.

According to Lords of Pain and a handful of other outlets, WWE have sent feelers to former Ring of Honor World Champion, Adam Cole. It’s possible that the company is looking to add to its recent crop of signings. The most recent additions to the company’s roster have been Kenta, Fergal Devitt, and Kevin Steen, with Willie Mack reportedly signing a deal, as well. WWE has impressed many diehard wrestling fans with these new talent acquisitions. Now, it seems that Adam Cole may potentially be next on the list.

If Ring of Honor ever gets their own Hall of Fame, and if Tna’s is still around in a few years, you can imagine that Christopher Daniels would be one of the few men on the planet to be inducted into both.

Daniels has been with both wrestling organizations from their inception (he first appeared on Tna’s fourth weekly pay-per-view, and main-evented the first Roh show), and been one of their best workers. Throughout the years, his character has evolved from a dark, religious menace to a man that just loves to have an appletini or two.
