Samantha made her writing and directorial debut with her film "Black Girl, Magic", winner of the 2018 Women in Film and Television 'Alice Award' for the 48 Hour Film Project NOLA. The 'Alice Award' is for excellence and showcasing the work of women in key roles on the screen and behind the camera.

She booked her first audition in Los Angeles in 2003, naively thinking pursuing an acting career would subsequently be easy. She was mistaken.

In addition to hosting her own radio show in New Orleans, Samantha has extensive Voice Over experience, which includes the formerly nationally syndicated radio program "It's Your World" on The Tom Joyner Morning Show.

Samantha will make her directorial debut in 2015 with her short film "Cry Face".

Samantha has an MBA in Marketing from The University of Minnestota.

Samantha wrote, directed and starred in a one-act stage play called "The Mission" that was selected as a Finalist at the 2009 NAACP Theatre Awards in Los Angeles.

After reading the novel Wild by Cheryl Strayed, she became obsessed with nature and taking a long hike.

Has a sister who is a writer.
