Rookie became a regular feature of the "Young Turks" radio show and still accompanies Ben to the studio when he guest hosts the show.

Nephew of Don Mankiewicz and the late novelist Johanna Mankiewicz Davis.

He is a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen. He travels often to see Bruce and the E Street Band, visiting many cities to see multiple shows on each tour. He grew up in Washington, DC and has fond memories of jingles and songs written by fellow DC native and E Street Band member Nils Lofgren, especially "Bullets Fever".
