Another writing partnership that sadly never got finished was with his client and friend, actress Margot Kidder. Margot was working directly with Derek to write a horror comedy film about her experiences at fan conventions. Derek plans to finish writing the script and will finalize it with Margot's original plans and thoughts but with his own creative twists.
