Jab Harry Met Sejal was one of the most anticipated films of the year 2017. With a track record like Jab We Met and Rockstar and the star power of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, director Imtiaz Ali was expected to hit the ball out of the park.

However, the film failed to live up to expectations and bombed at the box office, contributing to Srk’s decision to take a break from movies. At the time, speculations were rife that Shah Rukh’s superstardom affected Imtiaz’s creative expression, which led to the film’s failure. Imtiaz has now finally reacted to these speculations.

Ashvin Gidwani Productions will stage the much-loved show ‘History Of India – VIRitten’ to create some personal history of its own, by celebrating its 100th show at Jamshed Bhabha Theatre Ncpa, Mumbai, on the 11th of January, 2015. The entertaining king of comedy, Vir Das, along with the talented Kavi Shastri promise an evening filled with the funniest, wittiest and the most-sensational relook at the history of India.

The play is an entertaining recollection, right from the beginning of the Mohenjodaro and Harappan civilization times till recent times, enhanced with Vir Das’s crazy antics and hilarious dialogues. A twisted out-of-the-box touch to the history of the country is the essence of the play combined with the apt comic timing of Vir Das.

The show opens with a hilarious and extremely amusing opening act by Kavi Shastri, followed by a riot of laughter with Vir Das. Be prepared to laugh throughout the two hour performance.

‘Amit Sahni ki list’, is about Amit, a 28-year old successful investment banker with an Mnc, and his search for the woman from his dreams, correction the woman from his List. In his pursuit, he meets many women but in vain, until he meets Mala. Mala is everything that Amit is Not looking for in a woman. And yet for the first time, Amit’s List philosophy comes under serious scanner as he starts falling for her. They get engaged, but forty-eight hours after their engagement, the woman from Amit’s dreams – correction – the woman from Amit’s List – Devika – walks into his life!

Shenaz Treasuryvala, who received great appreciation for her performance in Delhi Belly, will be seen next in debut director Adeeb Rais' Main Aur Mr. Riight (Mamr).

Shenaz plays the lead role of a girl who is very finicky when it comes to choosing her Mr. Right but is looking for love in all the wrong places. What Shenaz finds most challenging in the role is that she plays a girl who never smiles, which is a complete contrast to her real life persona.

Mamr also marks the debut of TV actor Barun Sobti of 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' fame. The film also stars comedian Kavi Shastri.
